The Important Golf Rules And Tips
By Glenn Boulton
Golf rules and tips are a dime a dozen. You can go to any bookstore or look on any golfing website and find hundreds of tips and rules for you to learn. How can you keep from being overwhelmed by all of these rules and tips you need to learn? Learn just one at a time. Then they will stay in your memory forever. You do not need to learn every single rule to play an effective game of golf. You just need to know these basic rules.
1.Respect other golfers playing with you and behind you.
2.Drive carts with care-it is not a race.
3.Respect the course-rake the sand

Ballesteros out of intensive care
<p> Five-times major winner Seve Ballesteros has been moved out of intensive care and is continuing to recover from surgery on a brain tumour, his hospital said today. </p>
The Hacker: Can't kerb my enthusiasm but my game is really going backwards
<p> Embarrassing moments on a golf course occur so frequently in a hacker's life that you develop a thick skin, but armour plating would be needed not to shudder at what happened to me last Wednesday. </p>
The Hacker: A pro can set you along the right lines, but keep off the white powder
<p>One thing in golf you will never be short of is advice, and the worse you play the greater is the number of people anxious to help you.</p>
The Back 9: The final round

Mickelson fights for lead of pack chasing Woods
<p>Phil Mickelson underlined his determination to remain world No 2 by matching rival Sergio Garcia's six-under-par 66 in the opening round of the HSBC Champions event here yesterday.</p>
Trump gets his course, plus 500 luxury homes
<p>Soon after Donald J Trump submitted his plans for a &pound;1bn golf resort on an unspoilt stretch of the Aberdeenshire coast, he made clear that he expected officialdom's approval. With characteristic bluntness, the property billionaire told an interviewer: "I'm going to get it."</p>
Karlsson stands tall as European No 1
<p> Robert Karlsson was not planning any wild celebrations last night after becoming the first Swede to win the European Tour's Order of Merit. Yet that had nothing to do with any sense of anti-climax on his part in finishing down in 31st here at the Volvo Masters. </p>
The Hacker: My markers are magic &ndash; now all I need is the medal to prove it
<p> It was Gary Player who first coined the expression &quot; It's funny, but the more I practice, the luckier I get&quot; in a dry response to a compliment about some outrageous good fortune. </p>
Westwood refuses to let rain in Spain dampen his hopes
<p>One of the more baffling aspects of a golfing season that has at certain times been surreal and at others sublime is the results sheet of one Lee John Westwood Esq. The Englishman's driving has never looked more consistent, his sort game has never looked more competent, his muscles have never looked more defined and his major chances have never looked more likely. Yet histrophy cabinet has never looked more bare. Strange. Here is a born winner without a "W" to his name.</p>
Westwood grinds way into contention
<p>Lee Westwood has long been an unashamed sadist of the fairways and yesterday the Englishman restated his love of the grind with a 70 on the first day of the season-ending Volvo Masters. His classy display of perseverance put him right in contention to win a second Order of Merit title.</p>
Rose happy to play on his own
<p>After 21 years of acting as the season-ending finale to the European Tour, the Volvo Masters will receive its own curtain-falling experience here these next four days. It will be fitting if the four players who can still win the Order of Merit title that has always given this tournament its extra dimension can deliver the climax this proud event deserves. Alas, the whisper on the range these last few days has not centred around the question of whether Padraig Harrington, the year's dual major champion, can overhaul Robert Karlsson, the "Mr Consistent" of 2008, or indeed if Lee Westwood or Miguel Angel Jimenez can produce the late and unlikely charge to steal the Harry Vardon Trophy. </p>
Ballesteros' condition improves
<p> Seve Ballesteros' condition has improved as he remains in Madrid's La Paz hospital recovering from brain surgery. </p>
The Back 9: The Castello Masters

Harrington asks Tour to 'give back' to Seve
<p>As Severiano Ballesteros remained in an intensive care ward in a Madrid hospital yesterday, Padraig Harrington was 400 miles south here on the Costa del Sol expressing regret that the European Tour has not done enough to recognise the great Spaniard.</p>
The Hacker: Clubmate hits a mushroom and proves he's a fun guy to play with
<p>No matter how downcast you get about the state of your golf, you can always rely on someone to prove himself even more inept. So we were much cheered last Sunday morning when a player in our winter league hit a mushroom he thought was his ball.</p>
Ballesteros' third bout of brain surgery is a 'success'
<p>Doctors at Madrid's La Paz hospital yesterday declared Seve Ballesteros's third brain operation a success. The surgery lasted over six hours and was intended to alleviate pressure on the brain caused by an edema, and to remove remaining tumour tissues. </p>
Ballesteros brain operation a success

Players wait on Ballesteros update
<p> Justin Rose offered words of support to Seve Ballesteros today as the Spanish legend underwent a third operation to remove a brain tumour. </p>
Ballesteros undergoes third operation
<p> Golf great Seve Ballesteros was undergoing a third operation today on his cancerous brain tumor. </p>
Ballesteros to undergo further surgery
<p> Seve Ballesteros will undergo a third operation tomorrow to ease the swelling on his brain although hospital authorities insist he remains in a &quot;stable condition&quot;. </p>
The Back 9: The Portugal Masters

and replace divots if needed.
4.Respect yourself-watch your alcohol intake and how you act.

Golf tips are great for giving little tidbits of help and assistance in your game. For example, if you are having trouble with an outside to inside downswing then you may need some tips to help cure the problem. tips bump and drop mean that you bump your hips out toward your target which will cause your arms to drop and will help you with your problem downswing. This can help with the slices and pulls that may be occurring.
Tiger Wood's tips can be found online, in magazines, in books, and in videos. He is a well-rounded golfer that can help you with your game as well. Research rules and tips and remember that is for relaxation and fun. Don't get stuck in the details!
